This from "Bilerico" -- please follow link to original. Gosh, what a great example of both "Christian kindness", "family values", and that supposed "love" for their family and children so many men have. Another example of the "domination culture" fostered by our Patriarchal Society.

Tennessee Pastor Orders His Son Attacked in Church
Filed By Karen Ocamb | October 05, 2011 1:00 PM
Towleroad reports that "Jerry Pittman Jr. and his partner Dustin Lee were assaulted last week when they tried to attend a church service at Grace Fellowship Church in Fruitland, Tennessee." And, Tennessee-couple--300x201.jpgaccording to the local news station WBBI, Pittman Jr. says his it was his father - who is the church's pastor - who ordered two deacons and Pittman's uncle to physically attack and verbally assault the couple to prevent them from attending his father's church. The couple says they were initially not allowed to press assault charges but have since then.
Now this sure cries out for a "What would Jesus do?" protes
Via WBBJ:
"My uncle and two other deacons came over to the car per my dad's request. My uncle smash me in the door as the other deacon knocked my boyfriend back so he couldn't help me, punching him in his face and his chest. The other deacon came and hit me through my car window in my back," said Pittman. He said bystanders did not offer assistance. He said the deacon yelled derogatory homosexual slurs, even after officers arrived. He said the officers never intervened to stop the deacons from yelling the slurs."
Presumably, GLAAD will get on the ABC affiliate, which, David Badash at The New Civil Rights Movement notes:
"Offensively...allows the sheriff on camera to even suggest that the couple might have deserved the violence they encountered, without challenge, and offers an impending divorce of the Pastor as a reason for his hostile actions. Great act of "journalism."
