We went to the gym today. It seems I have to exercise to be able to do what were once my "normal chores" around the house. For yearspeople commented on how fit, how strong, I was. Now, I have to workout in order to move around. Today, BENDING OVER is a TASK in itself. So goes old age.

Anyway, that is not what I want to write about. I just want to know when CONTRACEPTION became a topic of "mainstream concern"? I'm also interested in why the leaders of the worlds greatest pedophile oganization, The Most Holy Roman Catholic Church, have ANY say on the matter! Since when does the US President take his orders from ROME?

Isn't that why generation after generation of Protestants refused to vote for a Catholic President -- Kennedy was the sole exception -- and folks KILLED him.

Today there seems to be almost no talk about individual rights -- esp. when it pertains to WOMEN -- who seem to have few if any rights. Now that there are more single people than ever -- our earnest Republicans speak about marriage, and "the family" as if it is the only possible living arrangement.

The multiple marriages of so many Republican candidates no longer seem to count. At the same time, what appears to be the most stable family unit running for office -- President Obama's -- is somehow "un-American". Doesn't that seem strange to you?

Our esteemed "Conservative" political "figures" lie as if the truth, and facts did not exist. They call Obama a "Socialist", even though he did not nationalize the banks when it would have made sense to do so. He did not support a Government run health care program -- even though that would have made more sense than what passed. Nor, did he nationalize the automobile companies when a "socialist" would have done so. Some "Socialist" he is.

Oh yeah -- he got OBL, when the "warrior" President GW Bush either couldn't or wouldn't.

I guess the "Conservatives" don't like him because he is at least 1/2 BLACK.

He's not a progressive. He's not even as liberal as Ike or Nixon. but right now he's actually the best we have.

Those who see no sense in voting for "the lesser of two evils" should just look around. The society we have now is basically a result of not voting for Hubert Humphrey - "The Happy Warrior". Not electing him led to Nixon, which led to Reagan (the worst president ever), which led to Bush (the SECOND worst President).

It doesn't matter if you think Obama is a "Fascist" -- that's still better than a Nazi
