Has anyone noticed? Georgia, the state that led the nation in bank failures last year has 25% of the failures so far this year. Out of 12 total bank failures, Georgia has 3.
Isn't that a tad high for ONE state out of FIFTY?
To make matters more interesting, Georgia is a RED STATE. It went for McCain in 2008. It also has a rather strong Tea Party movement.
Now, supposedly these folks want smaller Government. They want to "unleash capitalism", go back to the gold standard, etc., etc., etc.
How can these folks bear to live with an OVERBEARING agency like the FDIC? They hate bailouts -- or so they say. How can they stand by while the FDIC "makes whole" folks who have money in failed banks?
Shouldn't the tenets of unfettered capitalism rule?
So far, I have not heard, or read ONE complaint about the FDIC. Not one person railing against those BAILOUTS.
WHY?
Especially in GEORGIA - a really red state, with a strong Tea Party movement representing those most discriminated against --- Old White Men. If you don't believe that -- just ask them.
