Did you know that before The Failed Traitorous Southern Insurrection, Mississippi was THE RICHEST STATE in the nation?

It's now THE POOREST, with the highest rate of teen pregnancy in the nation (including Hawaii, which some don't seem to realize is a state).

Is it any wonder they want a return to slavery?

What they seem to forget is that all the wealth was held by a small oligarchy -- one of their main fears was the possibility poor whites and slaves would realize their plight was not all that different. Racism is, and was, a tool used by a ruling elite to keep poor folks (black and white) from banding together and taking over, resulting in a actual Democratic Republic.

Notice how all that work has led to grinding poverty.

Now, as the middle class disappears, perhaps some smart folks might just see the light -- no wonder there is a resurgence of racist activity.
