Steve Lacy/Roswell Rudd - MONKSILAND BAND

Back in the day, I would drink with Roswell Rudd and his "old lady" at the 55  --  which was then a dive bar owned by Brad Cunningham  --  would also see John ("Zoot") Sims there often.  The bartender (whose name I forget) was a published author  --  all in all one of my favorite Greenwich Village bars  --  along with The Shortstop and The Riviera.
