We went out today -- went to the range for some "bang-bang therapy", and did some shopping.
It actually RAINED today in drought stricken North Texas. This past afternoon was grey, damp, dark, with a constant drizzle. On the way home, on a nice new highway, with a 70 MPH limit, this during the latter part of rush hour, I was stuck behind someone doing between 56 and 62 MPH.
Doesn't sound too bad, right?
Between 56 and 62 ---- BUT, this on a road where most folks are doing 75 to 80 MPH, rushing to get home, out of their wet cars and into a dry martini (or whatever commuters do these days).
When I was finally able to get around him Suz noticed the driver dude was TEXTING. TEXTING in rush hour traffic, on a road where most folks were doing 75 to 80 MPH!
Is that insane, or WHAT? To add to the insanity, he was in the middle lane -- so cars passed on both left and right, frequently going back into the middle lane - from both left and right.
So, there he was, an inattentive moving road block - probably oblivious to the danger he was to himself and others.
As has been said time and time again -- "there oughta be a law".
