slow day for me -- real busy for Obama, the truculent schoolboy

I was putting up a post about dead zones in our oceans, sounds, gulfs, estuaries, etc. -- but then,we had to go out. Something silly, like a doctors appointment. Anyway, all is well, or will be well as long as she takes her meds.

My good intentions all went out the window when I suggested we eat out. We will both have to watch our diet more carefully from now on. Tonight was a celebration. We are still doing better than many, and it looks like we can chug along for quite a few years -- then again, who knows.

Pres. Obama did not have a very good day. EVERYONE accused him of caving in to the Republicans. The White House switchboard was swamped. Anyone FAINTLY "progressive", along with some who are not, opposed the capitulation.

Even worse than the result is the fact he did not appear to work for the best interests of THE NATION. The best interests of "The American People".

That's a shame. He also does not seem to know who we are, and what we think. Then he got all sarcastic with his base, and with the left.

I guess it's not just the LGBT/T folks who have been thrown under the bus. How's it feel folks? Remember. WAIT. BE PATIENT. (isn't that what y'all have been telling us all along?)
