Kent State

43 years ago today the "brave" National guard opened fire on unarmed, peaceful protesters at Kent State University in Ohio  --  killing four and wounding numerous others.

This uncalled for act was furthered by the "conservatives" of the time who characterized anti-war protesters as "hippie scum", "commies", and "dangerous radicals".

Today our current "Reich-Wing-KKKonservatives", still try to justify this murder of innocents.  These people who wrap themselves in the flag know nothing about The USA, have a warped vision of history, and usually know less about the 1960's, Vietnam, or the protests of the era.  They still try to claim we lost that useless war because of weak leaders, nd "5th column" activities.  The truth is  --  we got our asses kicked.  No matter how many battles we won, we were never going to win that war.  We lost over 50,000 Americans killed - all to no avail.  It was just a "big boy pissing contest"  --  a case of "mine are bigger than yours", which is a stupid reason to fight such a horrific war.

These are folks who still hate Jane Fonda for speaking her mind.

The Kent State massacre was uncalled for, counterproductive, and a blemish on our history  --  this no matter what the revisionist "historians" say.
