Instead of going to film school, or studying "post-modernism", or even "Ethnomusicology", perhaps folks might be better served by studying AGRICULTURE, animal husbandry, or tool and die making. Oh yeah, learn how to shoot.
This coming from someone who ALWAYS promoted a "well rounded education". I actually believed it more important to be educated than to learn a trade, or profession - unless you have a "calling".
I championed The Liberal Arts all my life. I found Art Majors very admirable.
I'm really afraid the world is changing more quickly than I ever imagined.
I'm afraid "well rounded" will be taking on a different meaning.
