Football weekend

I have spent a good portion of both today and yesterday watching the NFL playoffs. I enjoyed the Giants win over Atlanta (hooray for the Union), watched Houston win (at least someone in Texas has a clue -- hint, hint, Jerry Jones), and thought New Orleans deserved their big win.

But, I cannot root for either Denver or Pittsburgh. Choosing between the Jesus freak and the rapist is damn near impossible. Both are misogynist dicks -- never mind their athletic prowess -- neither Tebow nor Roethlisberger are guys I could EVER root for.

There have been many overtly "Christian" athletes over the years. Most have been smart enough to limit their public displays of "religiousity". Tebow is just not quite smart enough to UNDERSTAND that not all folks are "christian", nor DO THEY HAVE TO BE. Roethlisberger does not seem to understand that many women are turned off by his "manliness". They might admire the attentions of a "star", but might not want to sleep with Mr. UGLY.

Perhaps Big Ben should continue paying for it -- and Timmy should marry a "truly christian" woman -- someone who believes in nothing but "vanilla" fucking -- he deserves at least that.
