Headlines from The BBC (with comments)

Here are a few headlines Fox News might not feature - in fact, The New York Times might also "miss" them. == These from The BBC.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Iran car explosion kills nuclear scientist in Tehran - A university lecturer and nuclear scientist has been killed in a car explosion in north Tehran.

Mostafa Ahmadi-Roshan, an academic who also worked at the Natanz uranium enrichment facility, and the driver of the car were killed in the attack.

The blast happened after a motorcyclist stuck an apparent bomb to the car. (Wait, wait, didn't I just see this in some movie - or movies?)
----------------------------

German prosecutor shot dead in Bavarian court - A state prosecutor has been fatally shot in a courtroom in the southern German state of Bavaria. ........ Security at German courts has been tightened in recent years because of several earlier attacks on judges and prosecutors. (Gee - Is it possible? This in a place that is not "gun crazy" - like the USA.)
------------------------------

Alaska snow and ice cuts off Cordova and Nome - Extreme winter weather has left one Alaskan town battling huge snowdrifts and forced another to seek fuel supplies from a Russian tanker. (Duh, it's winter, it's ALASKA! They are always telling us how THEY have this "true pioneer spirit" - now they need help from the RUSSIANS? Where is the "Momma Grizzly" toughness, the "independent spirit"? Oh, I forgot, Alaskans get MORE FEDERAL AID than anyone else in the "good old USA" -- why do you think they can spend so much time complaining about "the government"?)
-----------------------------------------

Confiscated bushmeat 'poses virus threat' - Scientists have documented potentially dangerous viruses entering the US through illegally imported wildlife products.

Testing of meats confiscated at American airports has revealed the presence of several pathogens that could pose a risk to human health.

Retroviruses and herpesviruses were identified, some of them isolated from remains of endangered monkey species. (Someone should tell the consumers of this stuff -- it's BAD to eat your RELATIVES!)
--------------------------------------

Pakistan army warns PM Gilani over criticisms - (At least over there they are honest about it)
----------------------------------------

Boko Haram: Nigerian Islamist leader defends attacks - The leader of Nigeria's Boko Haram Islamist militants has defended recent attacks on Christians, saying they are revenge for killings of Muslims. (Gee-whiz, anyone else think this "holy war" and religion CRAP is just that --- CRAP!!)
