Charlie Haden is gone.

Charlie Haden has died.  If you do not know who he is  --  well, he was one of the greatest bass players that ever lived.  Progressive Jazz, Avant-garde Jazz, progressive politics, etc., etc.

He was one of the original members of Ornette Coleman's ground breaking group.
