O.K. -- they traded Melky for a starting pitcher. Seems like a good deal ----- BUT ----- Melky was clutch.
In addition, he lost his job last spring, didn't sulk, kept on working, took advantage of his opportunities, and won it back.
He showed character.
He has a better than average arm, and has the potential to be a .300 hitter in the big leagues. His fire, energy, love of the game, is evident in his play.
I think the trade is a mistake
