9/11

Today is the 10th anniversary of the attacks on The World Trade center, The Pentagon,and the tragedy of flight 93.

I'm still amazed at how so many folks who HATE N.Y.C. on a daily basis, the ones who call it a "sewer", who call for its "destruction", can all "come together" on 9/11 to "mourn the loss".

I knew totally innocent people who died on 9/11. I still lived in New York at the time. The event horrified me -- at the same time, I thought a lot of folks would be secretly happy that N.Y.C. "got theirs".

Rudy Guliani had shown himself to be a racist @&&$*%@ -- and he became some sort of "hero" - he actually tried to become President on the back of 9/11. Other "political figures" used 9/11 in an attempt to gain greater power. Meanwhile, our "leaders" used the event as a way to DESTROY all our civil liberties.

The same folks who wrap themselves in both The Constitution and The American Flag seem to have done many things to dishonor both.

I mourn both the loss of people the attacks led to, and the further destruction of MY USA brought about by the reaction to the attacks.

It's a sad day on so many levels.
