"Fiscal cliff", "right to work", etc., etc., etc. Does anyone else feel as if they have entered an Orwell novel? These totally misleading, terms that are INTENDED to confuse people.
For example, if we actually fall over this "Fiscal Cliff", the deficit goes DOWN. Taxes go up. Now, even the folks who say "Government spending is not effective at expanding the economy" (IE: anti-"stimulus") are afraid that the combination of tax increases and spending cuts will DEPRESS THE ECONOMY!!
"We are ALL Keynesian now" is a phrase that has been used by some economists. The furor over this non existent "cliff" is mainly over the fact tax rates for THE RICH will actually go up That's it.
I think the Republicans actually worry the economy will dip into another, even worse, recession -- the kind they say ...................................... oh what the hell, it's all because some black guy is in the WHITE HOUSE. That's it. If we had another "good old boy" instead of the black dude, they would sit down and screw us all TOGETHER as they always did in the past.
I'm sick of it. They do not give a shit about you or me.
