Why didn't their God protect the Gulf Coast?

Golly-gee, why didn't their unflinching belief in GOD protect the folks on The Gulf coast from harm? Didn't their prayers deflect the oil? Won't "The Almighty" step in and wash away the oil?

If not, WHY NOT? Can it be "THE WRATH OF GOD" on these narrow minded folks? Could it be Jesus saying -- "take better care of the least of us, take better care of your elderly and your sick"?

Could it be the fact those states have lagged behind in human rights, in education, in equality, for years?

Could it be their hatred of "different", of gay and lesbian folks, has singled them out for "special punishment"?

Or, is it just our lack of effective government, our lack of regulations, our bowing to the will of The Corporation -- even if it means our citizens are ruined or die?
