O.K., so I've spent a good part of the afternoon listening to music.

First, if you have never heard Nina Simone sing "Pirate Jenny" -- go listen to it RIGHT NOW!

Also, after hearing it again, I must add the Keith Jarrett Trio's album "Bye, Bye, Blackbird" to my already posted list.

Next, find a CD of JoE Williams singing with The Basie Band. That was a powerful combination.

Oh yeah, you could do worse than "Chet Baker In Paris -- The Barclay Sessions"
