why, why, why??

Why are today's nouveau riche so damned entitled? Why don't they think THEY have to pay taxes to a government, and a system that ALLOWED them to become so damned rich?

For such smart guys, why do they think they can run roughshod over everyone else in the USA? Do they really think us poor, and NEWLY POOR folks won't get a tinsy-weensy bit upset?

Or, has the right wing indoctrination of society become so through we will just take it?

Have Americans become so unaware of their history, so unaware of our collective past, that we just lay back and allow ALL our freedoms, all the safeguards brought about by The New Deal, to dissolve?

Where is our spirit? Don't those who want to establish a new "aristocracy" understand we will eventually get angry? Do they think they can ALL just leave the country?

Or, do they think they can continue to run their "astro-turf" games on us?

Heck, I suspect even the "Tea Party" folks are getting wise -- granted, not all, and they still get riled up about issues that do not affect THEM ("gay" marriage, abortion, etc.) - but I think the economic realities are beginning to "settle in".

The only hope our Republic has is a "great awakening" of understanding. An understanding of our history, a realization that we were not settled by "lone cowboys" -- heck, cowboys HAD to know how to work together or the herd would both get away, and possibly kill them.

We were settled by folks who worked together. By folks who were able to change as circumstances changed. Even the mythic "Old West" died - the real "Old West" may have celebrated its "heros", but the real work was done by farmers, shop-keepers, ranch hands, teachers, and other "regular folks". Myths were distributed by EASTERN (those damn ignorant elitists) writers to feed a market for "adventure fiction".

Our "new rich" don't seem to understand ANY of this stuff. They don't understand that in a rigid, aristocratic hierarchy they might just be lower level employees who are used by those aristocrats.

God-damnit, pay your taxes. Pay more, save our Republic, and SAVE YOUR CLASS. Heck, that's what FDR did with "The New Deal" - he saved capitalism, only many of the supposed "Capitalists" were too stupid to understand it.
