More abour bullying

Do not forget -- it's not just gay and lesbian kids that are bullied. Any kid who can be seen as "different", any kid who becomes the target of some "popular kid", any kid who is seen as "too smart", "too dumb", too any-damn-thing can be, and usually is, a target.

Please face the facts -- the USA doesn't give a damn about kids. We pay lip service. We say, "it's for the kids" (especially right wing "christians") -- but, it's NOT "for the kids". Children are just a prop for a lot of folks -- they use the IDEA of children, the appearance of a "family" to burnish their own image, their "public persona". If they could use blow up dolls of kids that they could fold and put in a dresser drawer after trotting them out, they would be much happier.
