So, I misspelled Dalai Lama (Dali - I guess he isn't a surreal religious leader).

It's the Lunar New Year -- there is a special New Year Message to the Tibeten Community from His Holiness.

Now, tell me again -- how does he differ from The Pope?

He doesn't seem to condemn homosexuality -- but he does not think it proper. I guess "the middle way" means you just beat us up a little -- not quite killing us all ---- yet.
