This morning, I woke up at a reasonable (for me) hour and turned on my computer before bathing or having coffee. Imagine my surprise when I browsed over to Pam's House Blend and saw these, oh so happy headlines: "Martin Ssempa Claims To Be Misunderstood", "How The Catholic Hierachy Lies, Claims Gays Attack Religious Freedom", and (among others) "Gary Randall: Opposing Death Sentence For Gays Is 'Perverted Tolerance'.".
Now, just think about it. Isn't that a wonderful way for "another old woman" to wake up? Doesn't that kind of talk make you want to go to the range to brush up?
Now, I have a counter request --- Death Penalty For Pedophile Priests and Ministers.
Doesn't that make sense? After all, in this hot bed of religious fervor we call the USA, the place where many of our "religious" SUPPORT Martin Ssempa's bill calling for the execution of gays become LAW in Uganda, so many folks depend on their religious leaders to tell them how to think, walk, talk, and S**T.
When a pliable, unthinking population becomes so dependent on their "moral leaders", isn't the need for that "moral leadership" greater than ever? Shouldn't the penaltys for "falling" be appropriate to the high station?
When did every two-bit preacher/pastor become a Pope? When did THEIR idea of scripture become civil law? How do they manage to ignore all the other calls for the death penalty in the old testement?
Why are some folks so eager to kill gays? What ever happened to "The Golden Rule"?
All that aside -- pedophile ministers, rabbis, priests, imans, etc. -- those religious leaders who call for the shunning of gays, for the execution of gays -- aren't they even more dangerous? After all, according to their own philosophy THEY are creating the next generation of gay folks -- in their case, just hang them.
And, while you're at it -- remove all tax exemptions for ALL Churches, and, please get rid of GWB's "Faith Based Initiatives" crap.
