Don Wildmon of AFA to retire

This from Raw Story. My question is: Why don't folks say "This is Gods punishment for supporting evil, violent actions against some of Gods people?"?

His illness is the result of an insect bite -- what greater proof of "Gods Awesome Power" do you need? The mighty laid low by the most insignificant -- or, something like that.

What's wrong with all the lefties? Don't they see the insane humor involved in this story?

A truly hateful p0erson, one advocating violence against other folks, is brought down by a BUG. No shooting, no being drawn and quartered, no trial, no hanging -- just "Judgment by God" and an end to his active career.

No flood, no fire --- just a bug bite.

Longtime gay rights nemesis quits post due to illnessAiling from months of hospitalization that stemmed from a mosquito bite, the American Family Association's Donald W. Wildmon, a formidable foe of gay rights activists, stepped down Wednesday after serving as chairman for more than 30 years.

"The resignation comes following several months of hospitalization," reads an AFA press release. "A bite from a mosquito carrying the St. Louis encephalitis virus caused Wildmon’s illness."

"From August to November of last year Wildmon spent 121 days in the hospital and rehab. In addition to the St. Louis encephalitis, he underwent surgery for cancer on his left eye," it adds.

The former United Methodist minister Wildmon and his group are widely known for their vigorous opposition to gay rights, and gay marriage in particular. Wildom's son Tim will is now expected to take on the role as chairman of AFA, the group says.

On the AFA Web site, Wildmon touts the group's "Opposition to the Homosexual Agenda," lamenting "the movement to normalize homosexual behavior" in the United States

I completely agree 100%! I subscribe to the AFA newsletters just to keep tabs on what those crazy people are up to. I just found your blog on a google search and wanted to give you a "virtual high five" of sorts. :)
